New website and blog!

I have been absent from blogging for a while, mainly because I spent a lot of the summer on painting commissions and printing lots of wedding stationery. It has been great!

I am also busy working away on a new website, my old one has expired so any queries please contact me on here. 

New images will follow shortly on a new blog, (I will put the address on here) and a new website with a shop-very excited about that!

Wedding Stationery

So as promised I have started designing and hand printing wedding stationery..

I launched it at the beautiful Heart Gallery as part of the "I DO" exhibition (more on this later).

Place cards

I can make invites to match any colour scheme (I mix the colours myself). I can include pretty much any images you would like in your invites, as they are made from my drawings and then screen printed by my good self. Because they are hand printed I can choose very lovely paper and card for them.

 I am really excited about this new venture and I have my first commission for invites, which I will be sharing here very soon.

Oh, I can also make personalised wedding bunting...

Beginners

Recently I watched the beautiful Mike Mill's film 'Beginners' again.

Not only is it a heart warming story about new beginnings and falling in love, it also features Mike Mill's own drawings, which made me want to draw lots and lots.

They are published in this book. Which chronicles the History of Sadness, The History of Love.

I won't spoil it if you haven't seen it.....

The Craft Centre and Design Gallery, Leeds

I am very excited to have a new collection of prints in the Craft Centre and Design Gallery, Leeds. It is a lovely Gallery with lots of beautiful art work in the centre of Leeds.

Hat Therapy

Here is a quick snap of a poster I made for the beautiful Hat Therapy

It was for the EWE show in Birmingham. I traced the type face, shaded it in and then drew my bears free-hand. I'm hoping to develop some wedding stationary based on this as I really enjoyed doing it.

West End House Gallery, Ashford

I am so pleased to be exhibiting my paintings in the West End House Gallery, Ashford, Kent. The Spring Show is now on until the 27th of May.

There is a selection of my figurative paintings and florals on show. I used deep reds and yellows to create warmth.

Winter Exhibition at Portland The Gallery

I am exhibiting in Richmond, Surrey, please go if you get the chance! I am painting away to add to the collection I have there; as some of my pictures got damaged in transit. That will teach me to send frames with glass. Shame, back to canvas for me.
