I've been painting and printing lots of birds recently-incase you hadn't noticed! These two pieces are different versions of the same thing....

What I always wanted

I have been lucky enough to be involved in a new online market place called 'What I always wanted' which will feature independent designer gift and homeware shops.
I will be selling my cards, prints and small canvasses. It launches today and I am really excited to see it!

Busy bee

So we are nearly into May, time seems to have run away this year. I have moved house and been unpacking things I have had in storage for years. I found these drawings I did a long time ago.

and I have been such a busy bee lately it was quite apt. I have been teaching lots of art workshops in schools and really enjoyed them. I have sent new paintings to The Janet Bell Gallery. I have also been printing and painting for a new online market place: What I always wanted-more on this to follow, it launches very soon, exciting!

Finding these pictures did remind to take time out once in a while, enjoy drawing, and not be too much of a hectic bee.

Little birds and winter walks

I had made a lot of prints before Christmas, so I wanted to get back to some good old fashioned drawing. I had a break in Kent and used the time to do these...

The twelve days of Christmas

I hope you are enjoying the Christmas holidays. Before Christmas I was doing workshops at Battyeford Primary School as part of their fantastic Adopt an Artist scheme. Here are the beautiful pictures the pupils did.

I was really pleased with the results. The pupils added lots of layers to their pictures using various monoprinting techniques.
